Asbestos represents a group of naturally occurring, fibrous minerals that were used in the past to add strength and longevity to building and insulating materials and provide soundproofing and fire resistance.
The communities of Ashcroft and Cache Creek will soon have a new full service Eco-Depot to replace the current Transfer Station. In order to give the community an opportunity to provide input on the proposed location, the TNRD is seeking feedback from area residents about which site would best service them.

Recovery and rebuilding is an ongoing process for the community of Loon Lake after the devastating 2017 Elephant Hill Wildfire. While some homes were lost, and others sustained repairable or minimal damage, residents lost a vital piece of infrastructure when the wildfire destroyed the community’s only fire hall.
